Part 2 Part 2

The reason I choose this book is because John Green has written several books that were highly recommended to me. Looking For Alaska is about highschoolars finding out who their friends are and who they can and can’t trust, kinda like how we are now. When the friends find out that Alaska died in a car accident it leaves them all asking questions of why and what they could have done to stop her. That what I do when me and my friends do something we probably shouldn't be doing and we get caught and all you can do is think why you did it and what you could have done to stop it. I recommend this book to all young adults it helped me realize that you can never take life for granted cause you can be gone in a blink of an eye. Also it made me realize that you think you know someone, but you really don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes with their family and their life.

Summer Assignment Part 2 Part 1

The area of the book where I got hooked to was where the regulars plotted a plan to get back at the weekday warriors for kidnapping Pudge and duck taping him and throwing him into the water. They constructed a plan for pranking the weekday warriors. They had itineraries, with exact times, synchronized watches, and their clothes were black. They met in a barn with all their gear along with 5 bottles of Strawberry Hill alcohol, they split up to go to their destinations. One group lit fire works, they were the distraction for the eagle, another group snuck into the eagle’s house to break into the computer to send progress reports to the weekday warriors. Miles also went into the weekdays warriors’ rooms and replaced their hair gel and conditioner with an industrial strength blue hair dye. When I was reading this part I immediately thought of Big Fat Lire, because the guy in the movie whole body turned blue. They met back at the barn to drink the Strawberry Hill  and talk about their best and worse days of their lives.

Looking For Alaska Part 2

Miles is a skinny kid from Florida who decided to go to Culver Creek mostly because he had no friends in Florida and he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps. He liked to remember the last words for famous authors and poets… I’ve never met someone that likes that. Chip had a deep voice and he liked to memorize country populations…That I have never herd before. He is from New Hope, Alabama he is attending Culver Creek on a scholarship his parents are divorced. He is best friends with Miles and they are roommates. Alaska is from Vine Station, Alabama, she was petite, curvy, had blond hair and green eyes. Alaska’s room consists of GIGANTIC stacks of books everywhere. She was the supplier of cigarettes and alcohol at Culver Creek. She is attending Culver Creek on a scholarship, like Chip. Her mother passed away when she was young. Alaska is also likes to plan pranks on other students, but mostly the weekday warriors. She has a boy friend named Jake. Alaska is looking for the meaning of labyrinth… I don’t understand why. Chip and Alaska explain to Miles the ins and out of Culver Creek, they have nicknames for everyone and they got each other’s backs.    

Looking For Alaska Part 1

The three main characters in my book are Miles, Chip, and Alaska. Miles and Chip both have nicknames, Miles is known as Pudge and Chip is known as the Colonel. The reason they call Miles Pudge is because he’s skinny…doesn’t make sense, it was given to him by Chip. The 3 friends met at a Boarding  School in Alabama called Culver Creek. Miles’ father attended and he liked the idea of Miles following in his footsteps. Culver Creek is 15 miles south of Birmingham, Alabama its hot sunny and humid. The Dorm room was a box with cinder block walls coated with layers of white paint ,green and white checkered linoleum floor, a bunk bed, a desk, a dresser, and book shelves that were attached  to the walls and not to mention no air conditioning. This would be a terrible place to live. The campus had 6 one story buildings arranged in a hexagram around a large circle of grass. The conflict that the 3 friends had was trusting each other. There are 2 groups of people that attend the Boarding school, the regular boarders who stay they there everyday except holidays and summers, and the weekday warriors who are all the rich kids who go back to their mansions in Birmingham every weekend… those are the cool kids, and the regulars don’t like them this is another conflict in the book.

I have know idea what to read right now!! HELP ME! I need some suggestions like stat! I should probably start reading that drivers ed book my mom got me... Probably wiill start that now then! If you have any suggestions hit me up like now!

When is it going to be spring, I'm sick of this snow. I'm ready for baseball weather and spring training. School ball is coming up and so is summer ball and I can't wait for that my coach got us a lot of jersies this year... he made a never before seen jersey also... I'm so pumped! So are you ready for spring to start?

I want to read something else

Yeah so I really can't keep up with my book. I mean it's still a really good book, I just don't have a lot of time to read it and its getting pretty boring. So you know what that means! Give me some new book recommendations please. I would like something fiction about sports or anything weird! Big thanks you the recommendations guys!

The Football season is over :'( it was a great season... before the Super Bowl. Wow that wasn't even a game from the start. Denver did not show up at all, and Seattle came ready to whoop on them. I would like to point out the karma Richard Sherman got when he hurt his ankle. It was still a great season for Payton Manning he just didn't get a lot of help from his defense or his line. Any way leave me some of your favorite memories from this season!

Son of Neptune

Alright, happy snow day everyone! Where we left off Percy can't remember anything, and one of the campers are starting to catch on to him. Well Percy still has no idea what is going on but some of his campers are... Other wise Percy has a stalker who is the daughter of Hades. That a babe Percy, at least it's a girl. A weird one at that though... Well it's a stalker and it's the boy's first one. Hazel, Hades' daughter, keeps following Percy around...THIS IS WHY I CALL HER A STALKER PEOPLE! Other than that nothing has really happen so that's all for this week!

SUPER BOWL WEEK PEOPLE!! Let's go, I can't wait to see this game! "Best" corner against the soon to be Hall of Fame QB. It's gunna be a great game...if they get to play on Sunday. Yeah, if you didn't hear, if they can't clear the field by Sunday they will play Monday. Super Bowl Monday... doesn't have a good ring to it. But also it's a sad week because it bring an end to a great football season. There has been A LOT of surprises like the Falcons...wow, wish Anthony Gonzalez didn't go out like that. Well anyways tell me what your favorite part of this season was or worst, and your prediction on the Super Bowl!

Son of Neptune

So Percy is going around the camp not knowing what just happened and or how he did what he did in the battle. He begins to remember his powers but doesn't remember that he is a Greek demigod not a Roman. The two camps do not like each other very much. Hazel, one of the guards at the entrance to the camp starts to relies that there is something different about Percy and she suspects that he is NOT a Roman demigod. Hazel trys to talk to her brother and father...Hades... but she can't communicate with them for some strange reason like all the other demigods. Weird Huh? That all for this week! Pick this book up or the first one so you understand what is going on!

2 weeks till the Super Bowl, The Denver Broncos v.s The Seattle Seahawks! The so called "best corner in the game" against a first ballet HOF quarterback in Payton Manning! I can't wait!! I really want to see Payton to win another championship, and I really don't like Pete Caroll that much. Before we can watch the Super Bowl the Pro Bowl is on, and this year it's a lot different having this fantasy draft for the first time. It's going to cool to see how this works. So what would your fantasy team be going into a Pro Bowl?

So we left off at Percy getting into camp Jupiter and he almost died...once again. So he is now in camp Jupiter and it is a mini "Rome" and I looked at the map for it and I would agree with Percy when he says it's a mini Rome. Percy is asked to join one of the teams for a capture the flag...just like in the Lightning Thief! But he does not remember how his powers work or who he is really. The fight begins and he is leading the blue team while a great grandson of a Roman Emperor (can't think of his name), but toward the end of the battle Percy uses his power to control water to defeat the red team and capture their flag.

1 more week till Super Bowl Sunday! Anyone excited besides me? I really want to see San Fansico and Denver in the Super Bowl because I love both Quaterbacks from both teams and they both have really good linebackers. I think it would be an offensive showdown between the 2 teams because Denver's Defense isn't all that good and Denver's offense can score at will! I can't wait till next week!! Who do you want to see in the Sper Bowl?

This is the second book to the Heros of Olympus series, this is about Percy Jackson...yes that Percy Jackson! He, like Jason, doesn't remember anything at all! He litterly tried crossing a highway not knowing what was going on. He did get over they highway...while carrying an old lady and being cased by some weird creature! He winds up at camp Jupiter...ring a bell from one of my old post? Camp Jupiter is a RROMAN demigod camp, but Percy is a Greek demigod... They don't like that very much. But they help him because of what he did to save to goddess. Check this book out now it's fast and has a lot of action can't wait to finish it!

Now that the bowl season I would like to look back on all the great bowls we saw and some not so great bowls. My favorite bowl to watching this year was probebly the orange bowl...not cause I'm an Ohio State fan, but more because of the offensive exhibition from the two teams. It was a great game and yeah I wish Ohio State won, but they played really good and so did Clemson. I didn't like the Belk Bowl I mean come on UC you let a Freshman take on back on you! Did u guys even know there was a game going on it was like watching the UC basketball team during the Cross Town Shootout! So I ask you this witch game was your favorite game to watch and not so favorite game to watch? Comment below!

I AM DONE!

I finished! That book seemed to taking forever to finish. If you love mysteries, mythical stories, romance, action, and just want to read a great book pick this book up right now I guarantee you will love it! I had a really good time reading the book and the ending is very good and leaves you with a great cliff-hanger. Now I'm not going to tell you what happens at the end because I don't want to be a spoiler to anyone wanting to read it. I might need some help finding a new book to read. Anyone want to help me? Also Rick has finished the series to both of the books of The Lost Hero, and The Red Pyramid. Check them out!

This weekend was the collagen football awards and I'd like to say congrats to Jameis Winston on winning the Heisman Trophy! So I was wondering what other people have won this award, so I went on the Internet and looked at the past winners and their careers at their school/academy. Did you know that Roger Staubach is the only Heisman Trophy winner ever to go to a arms forces academy. Archie Griffen, from The Ohio State University, is the on Heisman winner to win it back to back! Last year Jonny Football was the first ever Freshman to win the Heisman, but this year Famous Jameis became the second in a row!

The Lost Hero 3/4 Done

Alright I got about 150 pages left in my book and it's getting really confusing right now, but at the same time action pack and cool. Right now the gang is at an hotel fighting an Greek monster trying to protect something, I don't know what at the moment. I probably already read what they are going after I just don't remember I have really bad short term memory. Now how they got there is really cool, so there was a out of control mechanical dragon loose in the camp that Hephaestus/ Vulcan (1st name Greek, 2nd Roman) made to protect the camp. Leo who is the son of Hephaestus gets the campers to grab the dragon so he could restore it back to its normal form. Well Leo does and the dragon and him become BFFs and the dragon helps him all the time and they live happily ever after... Just Kidding! Well sorta the dragon helps the friends on their quest to find out what is going on.

So throughout this book I have been thinking...if I were a demi-god who's son would I be? Well me personally I would want to be either Poseidon, Zeus, or Ares. They are like the coolest gods ever! If I were Poseidon's son I would be able to control water and the water would heal me! If i were Zeus's son I could control weather, so if I don't like someone...BOOM! Lightning everywhere ruining their day. Finally if I were Ares's son I could be the best war general ever! And we would never loose a war...EVER! If I could be the son of all there gods... don't get me mad. But I would like to propose a question to you. If you were a demi-god who's son/daughter would you like to be? Break Reading

During the break I read my book that I have been reading and also reading some history on The Game. Ohio State and that team up north fans will understand what The Game is. In my usual book The Lost Hero the characters are on their way to Olympus to see what is going on with the gods because they aren't responding to their sons and daughters. The characters now know who their parents are: Jason is the son of Zeus, Jason is the son of Hephaestus, and Piper is the daughter of Athena. Along with Annabeth they are on their way to Olympus.

Also this past week I caught up on my history of the Ohio State and Michigan rivalry. As an Ohio State fan I read mostly things on the Ohio State side, not that ugly blue and yellow side. I found out a lot of cool things like in the 90s John Cooper, the Ohio State coach at the time, could NOT beat that team. Also this weekend I found out that there might be a bigger game than Ohio State Michigan... Alabama Auburn! I watched the Roll Tide, War Eagle 30 for 30 and the fans of these 2 schools are CRAZY! If you don't know much about this rivalry you need to watch this documentary about it, like right now!

Lost Hero Week 2

So this book is litterly what the title says it is! The protagonist in the story doesn't remember anything from his life, not even his name. Ugh I guess I'll have to tell you guys what the character's name is... Well Jason and his friends were just attacked by tornado daemons on the walk way of the Grand Canyon and were saved by Annabeth, a character from the past series, and are taken to camp half blood. There Jason finds out that he is the son of Zeus, the god of the weather, but he is actually a roman half blood so he would be the son of Jupiter. Jason is slowly starting to remember things while his friends from their correctional camp find out about their god fathers and mothers.

I watched the second Percy Jackson movie this weekend and it was very good! I can't remember how close it was from the book because i read it a long time ago, but my brother just finished reading it and he said the movie was right on the book sometimes then other times it was no where close to it. I think if you love the myths of the Greeks and Romans, you will love not only the Hero's of Olympus series and the Percy Jackson series, but the movies based off the books. In other things Rick Riordan the author of both series has made another series involving  Eygytion gods called the Kane Chronicals. I read a little of the first book of the series called the Red Pyramid and I have to say it is very good pick it up now!

Lost Hero Blog Post 1

I just started this book and I really like it because of the mythical aspect of it and the Greek/Roman gods myths have always intrigued. I think the author wrote this book to entertain readers and to get them thinking of the Greek/Roman gods myths. He did a really good job with the demigod camps that he implamented into the story. I like the new problem in this new story with having a Roman demigod at a Greek demigod camp and Percy the old protaginist who is a Greek demigod at a Roman demigod camp.


Nature has a huge part in this story due to the fact that the gods are based off nature and their demigod kids try to contol the powers that were pasted down to them by their god parents. The protaginist forgets who he is and what he is doing, he was like Percy in the Roman camp. Percy is the same way he forgets who he is, his friends, and his father (Posiedon) and for gets his powers. Now I won't tell you what the name is of the protaginist is and who his father is you'll have to find out yourself.

           I felt like I did a really good job describing what the charcters are doing but not giving it away what is happening in the book. Also I connected the book to another book and I thought that was pretty cool. I did a really good job of telling peoplpe that the book is a chalange going from flash-forward to flash-back. I didn't get todo a theme because you couldn't tell what it was because I just started.


           Next trimester my goal is to remember the blog and get on atleast 3 times a week. Also I would like to finish more than 2 books so I will have more to blog about. I would like to read books that I've thought i would never like and give them a shot. Finally I would like for me to read atleast 150 mins. a night,

Rivalry Recap

Guys I really want to go to this game now. After I've read this book I've started watching all the Army, Navy, Air force teams and I just really like the teams. My boy Matt Sterwart is going to Navy for college to play football and i hope to see him on everyones sholdiers when they beat ND.
